We stayed over the holidays in 2025 and it was great. The location is terrific, quiet and peaceful but still reasonably close to popular tourist spots. You get great views in the neighborhood. The hotel was much larger than I expected, rooms were clean and comfortable. Price was also fair and will stay again.

The location and staff get a 5/5 but everything else is just average. The room was a decent size but looking a little tired in places and the corridors were a little dated also. The lifts struggled when we were there (October 2025) but the service lift worked fine so wasn't actually an issue, just a little strange for a 4 star hotel. We didn't have breakfast but the free coffee and bottled water in reception was a welcome bonus. We would stay again but felt there should be a bit more for the price and actual value was only so so.

Loved the Nob Hill spot with cable cars right outside and friendly staff that go the extra mile. Rooms are clean with comfy beds and big city views. Some areas feel dated, elevators can be slow, and a few rooms need an upgrade — but overall a solid SF stay.

We hosted our wedding guests here and it was the perfect location and vibe for our guests. We rented out the presidential suite and I cannot recommend doing this enough. It's huge and gorgeous and for what it is, the price is fair. Would definitely recommend the presidential suite for any big event or a weekend splurge. Lauren, the sales manager is a peach and took really great care of us and, as a bonus, the breakfast is actually very very good! The eggs were cooked well and the pancakes were fresh and fluffy. Highly recommend getting the breakfast!

What a treat! This hotel is an absolute gem! Great location, quiet, trendy, clean, big rooms, awesome view! Ask for a bay room on 7/8 floor. I never heard a door slam! Most rooms are queens so ask for a King. Only downside no room service but if that’s what keeps the cost reasonable ($180 Saturday) I’m ok! My favorite coffee on tap- La Colombe. Even towel warmers! I’ll definitely be back!

Recent reviews had complaints of lift under maintenance. Had no problem using the lift during the stay! Used both the service, and regular lifts depending on which room we wanted to go to. Amenities are provided upon request. Location is good. Our room was facing powell street. Reception team was warm, welcoming and super helpful. Breakfast is average. Parking is 75$ + taxes overnight, similar rates in whole of SF.

Fantastic experience. Place was clean, and the one issue I had (AC wasn’t blowing cold) was addressed in 10 minutes flat by Jason, one of the most professional and personable engineers I’ve ever gotten to meet. Haven’t seen this level of service and professionalism since well before Covid.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Stanford Court. Came to the city to visit my son and booked a room for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location (I consider the hills a plus!) For those that prefer not walking the hills, the cable cars are literally right outside the door. My room was large and well maintained. I am glad I upgraded to a higher floor and chose a room with a view. Beautiful, day and night! I appreciated the complimentary waters provided for the asking. The price I was able to get through Delta Airlines was quite reasonable for the city. The only issue I encountered was that two of the three elevators were down during my stay but I was aware of that before arriving by reading prior reviews. That being said, I rarely had much of a delay and it did appear they were working on the elevators on my last day. All in all, a lovely stay in San Francisco! I will definitely return to the Stanford Court on my next Bay Area visit.
